Taste and experience
The seafood market is more than a traditional market. Our festival host will take you through the market, showcasing the preparation of top-quality seafood on an open stage. Norway’s best seafood producers will serve exciting tastings and share their best tips on how to prepare seafood at home. Garnvik, Domstein Sjømat and HitraMat are some of the exhibitors you will meet at the seafood market, in addition to the grocery chains Meny and Coop Mega.
Meet master chefs and influencers
Local chefs are visiting Norway Seafood Festival to show you how they make their special seafood dish. Experience and learn their recipes and tips at our show cooking, and maybe you get a small taste. During Norway Seafood Festival 2024, we had two food influencers visiting our festival, and showing their recipes. Karen Elene Thorsen, better known as “Fattig Student”, and Ellen Aabol served fish waffles, joined our show cooking and participated at the festival. Children’s Seafood Market
Children and young people have a natural place during the Norway Seafood Festival. The Children’s Seafood Festival aims to engage and stimulate the curiosity of the little ones. At the festival, kids of all ages can enjoy the Science Center’s engaging activities, while the SeeSalmon experience center offers a one-of-a-kind learning opportunity about the aquaculture industry for children and young adults. The grocery chain Meny will organize its popular “Fiskeknappen”, where the little ones will get to know the fantasy figures Kaja Kveite and Ludvig Laks. Meet seafood producers from the islands of Hitra and Frøya who will arrange fun activities for the children. In addition, the collaborative project Fosenregionen, has its own stand and welcomes the whole family to activities. Also meet “Young Chefs” and make your favorite sushi with them!
