Get excited for an incredible selection of seafood ingredients and an unforgettable atmosphere at Grafen.
– The Norway Seafood Festival is an important contribution to promoting Trondheim as the seafood capital of Norway. It is important for us to take part in such initiatives, and we are excited to showcase ourselves as part of the festival program, says general manager at Grafen Pål Espen Halvorsen.
70 years ago, the telegraph exchange was located in the restaurant’s building. Then perhaps it goes without saying that Grafen is the perfect place for good conversations. Since the restaurant opened two years ago, it has become a popular favorite in its historic location at the top of Nordre gate. Here you will be served first-class ingredients at a reasonable price.
– We do not use tweezers. Our function rooms offer a versatile space to enjoy a casual lunch or to celebrate special moments like baptisms and weddings, says Halvorsen.
A taste of Bocuse d’Or
At the same time as the Norway Seafood Festival, the Bocuse d’Or Europe 2024 will be held in Trondheim. Twenty top chefs from across Europe will compete in the prestigious competition, aiming to impress the judges with their diverse selection of local seafood, among other criteria.
In connection with the Norway Seafood Festival, Grafen will host its own “Bocuse D’or menu” featuring some of the same ingredients that will be showcased during the Bocuse d’Or.
Guests can look forward to spawning cod, scallops, and various types of rock fish. There is nothing quite like Norwegian seafood at this time of year, and our kitchen will beautifully showcase that, promises Halvorsen.
