Food blogger and influencer Ellen Aabol is making a comeback at the Norway Seafood Festival this March. With over 60,000 followers on Instagram, 117,000 on Snapchat, and a staggering 180,000 on TikTok, the 20-year-old has captivated Norway with her passion for food.
I had so much fun at the Norway Seafood Festival 2024. The atmosphere was incredible, and it was an amazing seafood celebration, says Aabol.
From Beginner to Seafood Enthusiast
Aabol admits that before attending last year’s festival, she wasn’t the most experienced seafood cook. However, the event inspired her to incorporate more fish and shellfish into her cooking —an experience she’s excited to share with festival visitors this year.
There’s so much delicious and healthy food in the ocean. I can’t wait to demonstrate this to the audience during my show cooking. It’s so important for kids and young people to eat more seafood, she says.
The popular food blogger has discovered several new seafood favorites but admits she still keeps things simple.
Call me ‘basic,’ but salmon cooked in an air fryer or grilled with lemon pepper and lemon slices is always a winner for me. I love pairing it with a tasty carrot salad and wasabi mayo. A seafood soup packed with fresh flavors from the ocean is also never a bad idea, Aabol shares.
New Goals for This Year’s Festival
At this year’s Norway Seafood Festival, Aabol will continue much of what she did last year—exploring seafood, visiting exhibitors, and participating in children’s activities. Last year, her focus was on tasting different seafood and learning to enjoy it. This year, she wants to build on that experience and has set new goals, though she’s keeping some details a surprise for now.
