Since the 18th century, trade has been conducted from Ansnes. Sivert Fjeldvær came to Ansnes in 1905, the fishmonger from Fjellværøya. This is the starting point for today’s HitraMat AS. During the Norway Seafood Festival, HitraMat will sell scallops, crab claws and crab shells at the seafood market.
